Vibhuti Singh, Founder of Product Advisors, has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the Stevens Institute of Technology IS&A (Information Systems & Analytics) division, joining a group of industry leaders committed to reorienting how the next generation of technology talent is prepared for commercial AI deployment.
The Problem This Initiative Is Designed to Solve
The most consequential gap in the current AI talent market is not a shortage of engineers. It is a shortage of product leaders who can connect AI capabilities to unit economics, EBITDA, and scalable enterprise workflows.
Universities are producing strong AI engineers. The market is not producing enough leaders who understand both code and P&L — who can translate a model’s technical capabilities into a defensible business case, a compliant deployment architecture, and a sustainable commercial model.
“We have a surplus of engineers trained to build impressive science projects using frontier models, and a severe deficit of product leaders who know how to tie those models to unit economics and scalable enterprise workflows,” Singh noted. “To fix the market, we have to fix the talent pipeline.”
Why Stevens Institute
Stevens Institute of Technology is ranked among the top universities in the United States for commercial ROI on a degree — making it a critical talent engine for the enterprise technology ecosystem. Its IS&A division focuses on the intersection of information systems, analytics, and business strategy, which aligns directly with the commercial AI competencies Product Advisors identifies as most scarce in the market.
The Business + AI Forum
In this board role, Vibhuti will work alongside Aron Lindberg, Sandeep Sacheti, and a group of industry peers to drive the new Business + AI Forum — a program designed to ensure that students graduate with a grounded understanding that AI strategy without commercial architecture is, as Singh puts it, “just a hallucination.”
The forum will incorporate direct practitioner input — including feedback from technology CEOs and PE operating partners on the most critical skill gaps they encounter when hiring for AI product and data roles.
Implications for the Enterprise AI Talent Market
For organizations currently building or scaling AI products, this initiative reflects a broader recognition that the talent shortage is structural, not cyclical. The organizations that will win in AI commercialization over the next decade are those that invest now in developing or acquiring the rare combination of technical AI fluency and commercial product judgment.
